The farm is a calm, practical and sensory-rich place to learn. For children who find a traditional classroom challenging, working with animals, plants and food offers another way to engage with learning, build trust and experience achievement. We complement, rather than replace, school and other support services.
Grooming, feeding, observing and learning to care for our ponies encourages patience, empathy, responsibility and an understanding of non-verbal communication. Positive time with the ponies helps children develop confidence, emotional regulation, communication and social skills.
Activities are adapted to each child’s needs and abilities, supporting participation, independence and personal development.
Animal care, egg collecting, gardening, hydroponics, the orchard and farm-to-fork cooking are all open to children with SEND. See everything we do.
Schools, community groups and families are all welcome. Choose a date and the activities you’d like, and we’ll help you plan your day.
